What does it mean to be human? And how do we make sense of the many different ways people see the world—especially when the next call can place you in the middle of someone else’s crisis, culture, and story?

Most implicit bias trainings tell us that unconscious prejudices are inevitable, nearly impossible to fully overcome, and rooted primarily in psychology. They urge us to recall definitions, recognize disparities, and adopt strategies for cultural sensitivity. While well-intentioned, these approaches often remain surface-level. They tell us what not to be, but rarely offer a clear, coherent vision of what we ought to be.

The Human Experience Sessions take a different path.

Built on the Human Experience Framework, this course goes deeper. It roots the conversation not first in the subconscious, but in the philosophical beliefs we hold about human nature itself. We either share a single human essence that comes in diverse expressions—or we do not. We cannot be both. From that starting point, you will learn to distinguish between four fundamental ways of conceiving human diversity, and why only one of them is logically and ontologically sound: we are diverse as humans.

This is not about political correctness. It is not about abandoning your convictions or offering temporary fixes. It is about bringing unexamined assumptions into the light of the examined life—so that false judgments about people can be replaced with clearer, truer ones. You will gain practical clarity on human dignity, the beauty of true human diversity, and how to move beyond both colorblindness and mere “anti-racism” toward something stronger: a pro-human posture of dignity, equality, diversity, and flourishing.
